
Rob painting plien air on the Manassas Battlefield at the Stone Bridge
Rob is self-taught and has been painting in oil since 6th grade. His style has evolved over the years from realism towards impressionism. In the 1990’s he introduced watercolor into his painting routine and became a daily painter in the early 2000’s. Rob’s subjects are diverse, and rich having traveled Europe and the Middle East quite frequently over his career.
Today Rob paints in post-impressionism, using alla prima styles. In the warmer months you’ll find him en plein air painting around Wisconsin and the east coast mid-Atlantic region.
Rob has been a member of several artist organizations in Northern Virginia and is currently active with the Lakeshore Artist Guild in Manitowoc WI, and the Sheboygan Visual Artists in Sheboygan WI.
